Sandi "tagged" me to write 7 random things about myself. So here goes…
1. Sudoku--I'm addicted. I play at night, after the kids are asleep. Jamie falls asleep on me after his last feeding and I admire his cute little face, play some sudoku and listen to the friends rerun that is on tv.
2. Zeta Kappa--I pledged a sorority in college. It was a local sorority the year I pledged that went national the very next year, so I guess technically I was in two sororities. :)
3. I played college softball with my mom & coached my sister's college softball team. I helped start a club softball team at Pepperdine my senior year. It was very low key. My dad and Bryndyn helped coach us and we played in some junior college tournaments and had some random double headers with various schools. Anyway, we drove out to Palm Springs one Saturday for a double header. A couple of players that were supposed to be there never showed up so we were going to have to forfeit. It was a 2-3 hour drive out there and forfeiting was not an option! My mom had come to watch us play. She and my dad have played slow pitch softball for years. So, we gave her a shirt and she played first base for us and did a mighty fine job I might add! :) Right after Bryndyn and I got married (literally, the day after we got back from our honeymoon) we picked up and moved to Louisiana for me to take the graduate coaching position at ULM where my sister was going to school and playing. So, I got the opportunity to coach her in her sophmore, junior and senior years & I got my master's degree in counseling paid for as part of my coaching stipend.
4. I have a very particular way that I like our bath towels folded. I'm pretty low key on most things, but for some reason I get extremely annoyed when Bryndyn folds the towels the "wrong" way. LOL.
5. My name is Finnish. My mom was an exchange student to Finland and the family that she lived with had a daughter named Taina.
6. I was a true French Rivieran for one afternoon. I had been studying abroad in Heidelberg, Germany and when the semester was over a bunch of us (pepperdine students) headed to Greece. After the Greece excursion I traveled by myself for a week or so before heading up to Finland to meet up with my Uncle and to visit an exchange student that had lived with my family. Anyway, I spent a couple days in the French Riviera (Monte Carlo) during the week I was traveling alone. When in the French Riviera do as the French Rivierans was my motto, apparently. It was during the college years. I wanted to get the full experience. Can you guess where i'm going with this??? Yes, I bathed topless on a beach in Monte Carlo. Would I do it again? Definitely NOT! :)
Might as well stick with an international theme for this last one. . .
7. Bryndyn and I got engaged in Capri, Italy (an island off the coast of Italy's mainland). It was incredibly romantic. We backpacked through Europe for a month, sleeping on trains and in youth hostels, etc. When we got to Capri we decided to splurge for a night and stayed in this amazing hotel. One of these days I will have to write about the grotta azzurra . We visited this natural wonder just a few hours before Bryndyn got down on one knee. Definitely a day & night I will never forget. Hard to believe that was almost 9 years ago.

I am shocked at the Riveria reveal (no pun intended). You're such a wild thing!
I, too, cannot believe you went topless in Monte Carlo!! When you said you did as the French do, I was thinking in my head, "Ohhhh, she doesn't know what the French REALLLY do on the beaches..." Little did I know that you knew too well!
I love Sudoku, too, and I had no idea Bryndyn proposed in Capri -- I've been there -- absolutely beautiful!!
