My mom (aka "mama T") came and visited us for a couple weeks after Christmas. She was flying out of Kansas City so on the way to the airport we took a detour and checked out the plaza. Other than the airport and the Royals baseball stadium we haven't really explored Kansas City too much. But it seems like if you are ever talking w/anyone about KC they will ask if you've been to the plaza. We decided it was time to check it out, plus we found out there was a Cheesecake Factory there. . . We didn't have a whole lot of time but we thoroughly enjoyed our airport detour. We definitely want to head back to the infamous plaza when we have more time. Here are a couple of pictures of Caelleb & Mama T in front of the Cheesecake Factory!
Caelleb was not ready for Mama T to leave. In fact, he tried everything he could think of to go with her! We finally had to explain to him that he didn't have a ticket so he couldn't get on the plane.
Caelleb: I use Mama T's ticket
Me: Mama T's ticket doesn't have your name on it. You need a ticket with your name on it. Sorry!
Caelleb: I write my name on there! I write my name on there!
My mom was definitely feeling loved, but I know it made the departure much more tearful, for all of us!
