McCallister's is one of my FAVORITE places to eat in Monroe. It's a soup, sandwich & spud deli. They have sweet tea that is to die for! :) It's one of those in between fast food & restaurant places. You order at the counter they bring your food. Getting a table around lunch time is near impossible. Well, now imagine going there with a six year old, a five year old, a 17 month old, a 7 week old & a nursing 11 day old. No one in their right mind would attempt that. There were 4 of us adults but we were completely OUTNUMBERED! Let's just say that was the LAST time we took the kids to eat out while we were in Louisiana. We learned our lesson! :)
Finally, Uncle Bryndyn (who had been south of New Orleans with the teens from our church on a mission trip for Youth In Action) arrived and at least then it was even (5 adults, 5 kids). Phew. . . The kids were actually great--but still, I think all the adults were ready for a vacation by the end of the week. . . Fun times! :)

I love McCallister's!! And they're everywhere down here! Now you've got me wanting a big glass of sweet tea.
We LOVE McAllisters! Their sweet tea is my favorite, and I have been known to drive the 20 minutes to ours in order to just purchase sweet tea. We actually just ate there on Sunday after church. Yummy! Also, that first picture is too cute with the pink and blue blankets!
