Happy Birthday my sweet girl! I CANNOT believe how much you have grown this past year. Your toddler days are long gone. You amaze me with the things you are able to do and say. People are drawn to your character. At the young age of three you are already compassionate, funny and, oh yes, strong-willed. A "Tia Bear Hug" as we now call them, can melt just about anybody's heart. And your smile spreads such joy!
3 Yr. Milestones
- POTTY TRAINED
- Sentence formation
- Summer saults
- Riding a scooter
- First trip to Disneyland
- Pre-Academically, there are too many to mention. You are so bright for your age & your vocabulary is amazing
I'm sure there are more, I will add as I think of them. . .
Your God Given Gifts (these are gifts I already see developing in your life. I'm sure as you grow & mature there will be MANY more)
- Compassionate (as previously mentioned)
- Discernment (you pick up on EVERYTHING)
- Care-taker (you were an amazing big sister to Jamie)
- Hospitality (you love to "cook" in your kitchen)
- Helper (you love to help clean the house--I hope this sticks)
I'm sure I have missed some, and I will continue to add to this list as I think of more!
The main thing I have learned about you this year, Tia, is that you are a STRONG & RESILIENT little girl (side note: a Bible verse that comes to mind, Joshua 1:5, "No one will be able to stand up against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you"). What you have gone through this last year, with all of the transition & heartache, is more than most will go through in their entire life. And yet you stand. But not only do you stand, your beautiful spirit has not been shaken. I am so proud of you. Even though you are not under our roof full-time & your birth certificate says different, you are a Crutcher. And even though I have to share the role of "mommy" in your life, in my heart, you are 100% my daughter & I love you so very much. HUUUUGE, you would say.
Happy 3rd Birthday!
Love Always,
Mommy
